  1. Ta for that. I did a few double braid and this 16 strand. Going to get it tested for strength. Hope to get it done in next two weeks.

Silky knocked a few strands of 4 meter from my eye splice. I cut it off below and did a practice splice. Might re splice after test and keep it for prosperity. I stitched and whipped near eye. Love doing the whipping.

    Knitting and sewing for men..:thumbup1:

  2. I would say your hands are sore. Did my first XTC last night. Hands still sore..

It weren't too bad once you get the hang of it you find ways of making it easier for yourself n friction cord is easy anyway best stuff to learn on:)

Although I did get the sore hands again the other day doing some Yale blaze not a nice rope to splice at all!!

  3. Nice work bro,

whats the plastic your marking with? I want to buy sheets to print my own labels, Just not sure what polymer it is.

I tend to splice with a beer to hand :P helps keep you splicing longer!

On again nice work, enjoy the stitching :D

Cheers urmm I think it's just the shrink wrap that u can get from fr jones or honey bros

Yeah it is the best way to do it:)

  4. Nice work Tom, bet your hands are sore!

  6. I havent tried it with the little red krab yet at first I jus had a loop of the rope with some shrinktubing on it but change it because couldnt get the loop small enough to stop the eye passing through it so Im thinking either a small cambium saver ring or maillion

  7. Theres no need to rush the assessors are just lookin to see if your safe and confident in knowing what your doing dnt matter how fast you can get around the tree if not doing it safely then there not gonna be happy, speed comes with practice and experience:) and as everyone else has said keep your kit nice and tidy assessors love it and it will make your climbing so much easier
