  1. Thanks for your replies. I don't know why the Australians are having problems with the 236e, maybe they come from a different factory to ours although I doubt it. I'll contact Jones and see what they have to say and what warranty they offer.
  2. Hello Does anyone know if there is a difference between the Husqvarna 236 and the 236e? My cousin needs a new saw for occasional home use to replace a rubbish Spear and Jackson and I am tempted to recommend the 236 from FR Jones because it's a Husky and it's cheap. However the saw has got some pretty poor online reviews in Australia - but this is for the 236e version and I wonder if there is a difference? I note the 236e used to be sold here but now it's the plain 236. Is the saw worth it or should I suggest another model, or something like a Stihl MS170? Thanks.
  3. I was going to suggest the Titan as well. There are some good reviews but also some bad ones and it seems there is an issue with the oil pump. This one might be suitable https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/bo-ake40-chainsaw-23/ and gets full marks from all the reviewers.
  4. Can anyone recommend a good mains electric chainsaw for cutting logs at home? My cousin needs one and is looking at the Worx WG303E 2000W which has good reviews on Amazon. His budget is around £100, possibly a bit more at a push. Thanks
  5. I'm not saying MS give a bad service as apart from once sending me the wrong diameter starter cord they have been very good. What makes me annoyed is the fact they are trying to sting people with a stealthy new postage charge on their new site which is 80% higher than on their existing site(s). I'll just use the old site or their ebay blindstickinsect outlet instead.
  6. Has anyone used Mister Solutions new website www.mister-solutionsltd.com to order parts? Having used their existing site www.mister-solutions.mobi up until now I thought I would switch to the new site but got a nasty shock when I discovered the postage had gone up from £3.33 plus vat to £6.00 plus vat for three small parts which certainly wouldn't cost anything like £6 to post. So I went back to the old site and paid the lower postage price. And if/when this site is taken down I'll shop elsewhere!
