Hello all.
I’ve got the above saw and it’s just started playing up. When I put the battery in the on off button lights up and it’ll work with the chainbrake off but when I put the chainbrake on the green light flashes. The on off button doesn’t turn off either. Any ideas what could be wrong?
Thank you

Stalling is the key symptom of the solenoid failing. Fit the upgrade beige one with the new orange fuel filter. That will sort it!
It should work, just push it in carefully so the O ring doesn't get damaged.
Nice one Spud [emoji846] -
Hi Bob. Yes tried the reset. I’ve ordered the solenoid so will see how that goes.
Thank you -
Yeah it does do that but I changed that little gauze with the carb kit. The old one that came out was clean so think that’s fine.

Hello all
I have an MS441C that starts and runs fine for around 15 seconds and then it stalls as if it’s running out of fuel. I’ve just fitted a new carb kit but it’s still doing it. Do you think it could be the fuel solenoid? Or any other ideas?
Thank you

Thanks Paddy and bmp. Is it possible to get a new main jet?
-
Firstly , you won't need a new flywheel unless the main disc is bent and that's extremely unusual. I would think there's a service exchange flywheel in stock , there usually is anyway. If the flywheel is repaired then it's advisable for it to go on the balancer.
Jase.
Nice one Jase. Which is the best number fir me to ring about the service exchange flywheel? -
Yr near Sheffield , some Jeff over there will fix that [emoji6] K
I was thinking we could get a firm here to weld a new fin on but I’ve been told that finding out the correct steel would be hard and then having it destressed after it’s welded would start to cost loads?- 1

Greenmech may have a service exchange on the shelf ??
Jase.
I’ll give them a go buddy. From what I’ve been told there’s no stock and they are made to order? I think they cost over two grand for a new one!! -
It’s thrown a fin up the shoot!

Hello paddy. I’ve just put a known good carb on and it’s all fine. The original carb has had new kit, flange and a good clean. Do carbs just break over time?
-
Just put a new flange on and it’s still doing it. So far it’s had a new carb kit, new lines into the tank and to the carb and the new flange. Any other ideas?
-
No not that part. I did have one go years ago but the spring fell out so I knew it was knackered. Would that cause the sound of air going in and out in the fuel tank even though the filter is in the fuel?

Hello folks
I’ve got a BG56 blower that not pulling fuel up with the primer bulb. I’ve fitted a new carb kit and primer bulb but it still wont. I noticed I could hear it when I took the fuel cap off and assumed there must be a hole in the filter line, but got a new one and it still doesn’t work. I’ve also fitted new lines from that to the carb. Any ideas?

Is there an m14 x 1.25, that’s what the first kit shows on the box?
-
I can’t find that kit anywhere dude. Where did you get it from?

Good morning everyone. Thank you very much for the replies and explanations [emoji106]
I’ll have a look for the drapper kit, looks good. Thanks for taking the time to supply all the info buddy [emoji106] -
Thanks for the info ratman. Do you know which size and depth to go for, that’s what I’m not sure of?

Good morning
I’ve an ms441 and a ms362 that need a new thread for the spark plug. Could someone please put a link to a suitable kit?
Thank you

It was the plug spud. I’d have just assumed it was ok as was sparking, so thanks for that [emoji106]

The carb I’ve put on is off my bg86 and this is a sh86 but they look the same. The air glitter set up is slightly different but I can see that making a difference.
I’ve just put the coil on but it’s the same, it just pops once or twice in around ten pulls. I’ll try the plug tomorrow. The carb is pulling fuel up into the primer well. I’ll try a bit of carb cleaner through the carb inlet and see if it fires with that.
Does the fuel filter set up with the two pipes just pull out the top of the tank?
Thanks for your advice so far [emoji106]

Hello again. With mine it’s flashing 4 times per second with the brake on and then it’s on all the time with the brake off. You can’t turn the saw on and off with the button which you could before?
