  1. Hi all I have recently passed my CS 30, 31 and 38 tickets and am looking for work around the Ipswich and Stowmarket areas. It's perhaps slightly stinted at the moment because of upcoming surgery (see this thread), but even with this temporary set-back I'm keen to get going in the industry. Being what you would call inexperienced, ideally I would want a permanent job to gain some commercial experience, so am wondering whether anyone here knows of anyone after another body for their team? Or even a bit of regular day-by-day help? I'm due to do my 39 ticket once I'm back in full working order, but fully appreciate we all have to start somewhere! Thanks, Jack
  2. Thanks for the replies all! Got the surgery next week, so hoping to be on the mend by the end of November, give or take. It's come at such a ridiculous time, seeing as I'm just trying to get into the industry. Of course, it'll also bugger me a bit for some of the shooting season. I've had a go on one of those powerballs before, will probably look at getting one if it might help.
  3. Hi all Has anyone here had carpal tunnel surgery? How long did it take to get back out working? The hospital are saying 2 weeks before using computers, etc, and 6 weeks before doing any physical work, like tree/rock climbing and using saws. Sounds fair, but realistically it's going to take longer than that to build a bit of strength up, right? It's a pain in the backside, as I just passed my CS 38 and want to be getting on with my 39 ticket!
