I have a fixed rate contract with the fc in dorset and hampshire, its renewed every year and we get one job. The rest of the year the work goes to the same old crews, call me cynical but I think I am just used to make up the numbers for their approved contractors list, keeps the orditors happy.

make sure you allow enough in your price to cover the cost of all the warning signs you will have to put up!!!!!

Have you thought about a ford ranger with a tipping body, with greedy boards or without its carrying capacity is fine for small jobs and you have the advantage of 4wd. Nissan and mitsi also do a version. The only drawback is the second hand availability.

Saw a strange yellow orb in the sky today, lasted about five minutes and then dissapeared behind low cloud. Any body have a similar sighting? what could it be?
