  1. I will, and its very good of them to do this. I think what im annoyed about is how shoddy some of the equipment we get sold is. I know its a hard working environment but stuff should last longer? I mean, my elten pro boots fell apart after about three months when the silly soft padding bit ripped out the back of the heal. Can the manufacturers not see this sort of thing coming. Sorry Fletcher Steward, not blaming you, more like poor initial testing on the manufactures part, or poor material choice/quality control. Rant over. *draws deep breath*
  2. well I dont think the fault was wear or tear as the rest of the trousers are in very good condition (unlike my stihls at the same age). It appears that the bottom of the zip failed. As I was 60ft up a tree on spurs at the time, it was hard to do anything about it. Next min, rip :-( If this was mountaineering equipment, from say mountain equipment, im sure it would be under some gaurantee. Are people seriously saying I should only expect 8 months from a pair of £210 trousers? Apart from the split crotch theres nothing wrong with them.
  3. oooops sorry, wrong post *hits himself with the silly stick*
  4. Right so pfanner trousers split between the legs, stihls rip to easily and fall apart. What sort of trousers should I buy then?
  5. Sorry. Yes you did offer to repair free of charge. For this I am very grateful. However, I thought things where covered for a year for manufacturing defects which I believe this is. It just pisses me off when you spend alot of money on quaility kit and it only lasts this long. As people say, maybe I should just buy shite.
  6. 8 months ago I bought a pair of pfanner stetch air trousers from fletcher stewart in Stockport. They cost £210. Now I wear them nearly every day, and upto last week they where the best trousers I had ever bought. However last week I was up a 60ft lime tree when the fly failed at the bottom, then the next thing the whole crotch failed and ripped apart. I took them back to Stewards today, to be told it was my fault for not wearing braces!!! I pointed out that I have owned stihl, sip and charterhouse richmond trousers and this has never happened to them, and I never wear braces (something else to get caught up in branches). I am really annoyed about this because I think it is a manufacturing defect and im intitled to a new pair. Does anyone have a contact address for pfanner so I can contact them direct? or any suggestions on what to do? Pete
