  1. When learning to climb a year or two ago with some Aussie guys I used what I would call a webbed lanyard, although I believe they also called it a pole strop. Basically a length of nylon webbing with snap hooks at either end and an adjustable metal slider which enables the climber to lengthen/shorten as required when attached to a tree. I trying to find one of these for sale on the internet but nowhere seems to ahve them, can anyone recommend where I could find such a thing? Thanks
  2. Anyone use a throwline to advance up a tree during an ascent as opposed to using them to set up a rope from the ground? Any tips on this technique?
  3. Hello all, just wondering if you can help me. I currently have just under 2 years experience in the industry including some climbing and have tickets CS 30,31,38,39. I would like to take this further and am owndering what optiosn tehre may be with regards to college courses or technical quailfications. I definetly want to do more climbing and more tickets but am wondering whether there are any courses suitable for my level of experience which would incorporate training/assessment for tickets I would like to get under my belt (ie CS 40/41). Im also interested in tree surveying and wondering what training is available for this. Thanks.
