  1. Thanks for getting back to me and for the tips.

     

    Had a quick look on ebay.de and found a good few used parts and they seem to be listed by only a few users so I'll probably get in touch with them through ebay and ask them if they have the part we're looking for (a 540rpm PTO shaft end is the main thing we're after at the moment).

     

    We have a 1985 1300. It's in pretty good order compared to a lot of the ones we've seen in the last few years and we were told that a previous owner replaced the original engine with a Mercedes 1617 lorry engine - if that's true, it should now have around 170hp instead of 125hp! The engine does seem to rev higher than other MBs which also leaves it with a higher top speed. Haven't clocked it yet against the car yet but it could be doing close to 50mph. Bloody frightening thing to drive on country roads....
