  1. I didn't go this year talked it over with some of the other guys and decided not to make the trip. I haven't exactly earnt mega bucks this years, so rather than buying all the shiny things i want, i have to stick with what i need. This seemed to be shared by others, many seem to be feeling the pinch.

Also the price of fuel...yadda yadde blah blah etc.

    maybe next year

  2. thoose surgois are deadly man. took a good 1/4 off the top of my thumb many years ago, surgois lived in the shed since. i did finish that job, hours later the pain of them trying to pull it apart to clean it up was horrific.

    heal up dude.

  3. Yew reduction me and Tom did from yesterday, had to bust some serious mover to get out on some of them branches.

Also the lion toy we found the other day, there was also a donkey one...so we had races. Made Duncan climb with it too:lol:

  5. It dose make you wander why with gravity on there side why so many people totally fail to get them selves down the tree from similar low heights in the event of accident, its as if the complication of modern climbing equipments &/or culmination of technique/s precludes effective and immediate lowering of ones self one handed or the cutting of ones puserc loop and being lowered by the person/s below.

First good news on his recovery, big hand to everyone who saved him.

I'm a big into self rescue, BUT with injurys that bad there was no way he'd be doing it. Shock is a killer as janey stated it is the bodies defence to serious trauma and theres no snapping out of it. jugular injuries are very serious and you will bleed out within minutes.

He's very lucky to be alive.

  6. Feel like i'm having a real rough ride at the moment. Stuck in a rut in life and the things i'm desperatly trying to change are constantly runnning into problems. Just having constant bad luck and can't stay positive anymore. My minds just not with it, couldn't even do a straight forward reduction firday. Someone else had to take over, which hacked me off even more. Had 2 parties i've not been able to face this weekend and just feeling realy low.

Lack of works really getting me down as work=money which leads to some of the changes i want to make in life which will lead to more work and my first proper holiday in 4 years.

  7. Yeah man practice is the key, i was awful for ages. Don't fret about the time it takes to get it right, once you start getting good speed will quickly follow. keep positive:thumbup:
