  1. Thanks mate, I'm hoping for work to come quite quickly but I am prepared to wait for the right job. The course is 'Tree Surgery for Craftsmen' 10 week. NPTC & OCN It's this...... http://www.otleycollege.ac.uk/factsheet.asp?course=163 I have built up quite few contacts and have several friends in the business so hopefully I will have some kind of work by next summer. Alex
  2. Well yes, to a certain extent but i wouldn't want to be stuck with a boss who had no common sense, personality or sense of humour (best traits for a boss in my opinion). Anyway, enough about my screen name.....
  3. the college course i am doing costs £1500 ish. 3 months full time - all climbing, aerial rescue, chainsaw tickets plus theory on diseases / chemicals etc.
  4. Haha! Indeed - But if potential employers are likely to be put off by a pseudo name on an internet forum they're probably not worth working with. It's my favourite Radiohead track by the way....
  5. Hi all - new to the site. I'm looking for part time ground work until March '09. I will be attending Otley College from Jan - March. I will be working towards all climbing & chainsaw tickets inc theory. After that i will be looking to start my climbing career. I have experience of groundwork and i am working a little bit at the moment but need more work. I have PPE, full driving licence & car. I can travel within 30 miles of Diss/Bury. Send me a pm with details if you can offer anything (now or next year). (I have been told i 'probably' have work next year after college from a couple of companies but want to get a few more options) Thanks - Alex (22)
