  1. Ulterior Motives.

Shame on you, you Pahriah, you Bane of the Weak & Ederly............Oooooooooh :mad1:

"Showed my community spirit quite a few times today, pushed a truck up a hill on the farm with my 360, then got home and helped my elderly neighbour reverse her motorhome on to her drive, and then went and got some salt from the salt bins and gritted my street, how GOOD am I. Think I am half way there to heaven. :001_smile:

  2. If its the one on its own then that is just the idle screw, so you wont have knackered anything.

You have probably just flooded it.

Remove the spark plug, make sure the on/off switch is set to off and pulling the starter a good few times, dry the plug if the end of it is wet.

You could check its sparking by putting the plug into the ht lead, hold the metal thread bit of the plug against the head of the saw(or any other clean metal bit) put the on/off switch to on DONT PUT IT ON CHOKE OR 3/4 THROTTLE and pull the starter a few time, you should see a spark (or feel one :001_tongue:)

Put the plug back in and start it up :001_smile:

What are two little holes for, there doesnt seeem to be any screws in it, if there are they are blody small

  3. I just had my STIHL 021 out to give a clean and sharpen the chain, and thought I would try and tweak her a bit as she was cutting out when idling. I tried to adjust her by the screw at the side and now she wont start at all, ive tried turning the screw back but to no avail. Any ideas or have I buggered my saw? :confused1:

  4. Keep every reciept for everything, then once a month religiously sort through them and keep them logged by monthly order.

Dont get an accountant there crooks.

Do your tax return online its esier.

Get the self assesment guide from the tax office and study hard, there is stuff in that, that you would never have thought of claiming for.

Sort out a price with the customer before commencing work and have some sort of a contract, there are people out there who will try and take you to cleaners.

Any extra work must be paid for, and treated as a seperate job unless you think it is worth while just doing as a favour.

Give written quotations not estimates, stating in detail the work to be undertaken, the time frame, and cost. Also state how many days the customer has to pay for job ie- No later than 1 week from the date of the work has finished or 28 days which is usualy the norm.

On the quotation Have your name adedres and telephone number, and any trade assocations and public liabilty insurance.

  5. Getting cold down here, been below freezing most of the day on the farm, and windy windy. It could cut your bleeding face off. How far up are you shrek, my family are from Galston and Kilmarnock, only been there once but was really nice. The name is Coruthers, but alot of them moved down here top corby for the steel works hence why I am here and English and not Scottish although I dont forget my roots.

  6. looks like new tyres are needed aswell lol, nice chunky ones :D

Yeah man the tyres look like there a bit low, we got a Merlo Forklift at the farm and the front tyres were shite, when they got changed the tread was bout 3inches or so, the difference was unbelivable.
