  1. Hi all

Got a jensen a530. Had a couple of problems with it over the past couple of weeks. Cured them but now the anti stress won't kick in. I've changed the speed sensor recently and there was some **** stuck behind a magnetic solenoid on the side of the chest pack which was causing the rollers to not pull in.

That's fixed now though as pulls in fine.

What's the best test to do or most common fault with this problem? As I've used many Chippers with no anti stress so I'm sure it's a common fault.

  2. You will not need to send these new saws away to be repaired, I just had to gut a T 540 and found it an easy saw to work on and strip down. So they are just as serviceable as any other saw. Apart from tuning and the piezo electric adjusters, so let's wait and see how reliable they are.

Well that's good to hear...but what happens when the electronic adjusters pack up...you quite often have to put a tuning screw driver to the 200's

  3. what are people thoughts on the new husky top handle when it eventually breaks down? Dont own one yet but i intend to. I was impressed by performance but iv never had to give my 200t to anybody to repair like most people on here iv fixed it myself. Thoughts please...

    How's tricks with u?

  6. has any body got the suspenders for the tree motion?...cant work out how they fit on the harness.finding my hips are hurting when im on a pole all day.the harness tends to slide down when i have a big saw on me and messes with my hips.hope it might stop if some of the weights on my shoulders.

  7. cheers paul...its bad lighting fine figure of a man usually.

not sure i find karabiners any quicker in tying up.lots of timber gets rigged down here as its mostly removals in the part of van im in and i find they get stuck under the logs on the deck or on the pile.end up either taking them off or pulling till ur red in the face...i can understand if guys find it quicker on branches just dont think its dynamic or that pro.kinda surprised how many guys on here sway towards using them. thought it would b the other way round.what ur brought up using i guess

  8. i guess iv always tied the standard rigging knots since college and being as the lead climber didnt at my old place nobody else did...eventually u get quick at tying them and un tying them.i just find the carabiner un dynamic and most of the the groundies r pretty special and struggle to undo them...also find if i ground with them them they get stuck under logs etc and just generally piss me off...and yea big firs and cedars all day..spurs never come off

  9. working in Vancouver at the moment and EVERYBODY uses a carabiner on the end of the rigging line, even when were lowering big timber down.plus they complain when i dont use them..coming from the midlands, England its pretty taboo to do..there steel carabiners by the way. what are peoples thoughts? i need some fuel for the argument!!
