I heard you were there mate, sounds like you just ate food all day?! The robots were fascinating - how they all go and help if ones got a lot of crates to move was mega!

This week I was invited to visit Stihl GB’s new headquarters in Surrey, its a very impressive setup! There is innovation everywhere. We had a tour of the warehouse and the picking system completed by robots, its interesting to see how our spares are shipped to our dealers. It also has amazing training facilities along with a employee designed workshop where they test and investigate faults on bits of kit. We managed to test some of the latest petrol and battery machines theres some decent stuff being released to look out for. Big thanks to the Stihl team for showing us around! If you ever get the chance to visit, it’s well worth it.

We continue to show sustainable development and growth, so are looking for an Experienced Contract Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative, forward thinking individual, to establish themselves within the management team of one of the most progressive tree surgery and landscape contracting companies in the industry. This is an varied and dynamic role, where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will be required to work in a busy environment, managing work projects from tender stage through to completion. You will need a relevant qualification of level 3 or above, along with good commercial knowledge in sales, health and safety, running teams and financial control. The position will require excellent people management skills to ensure the smooth running of operations to the satisfaction of our clients. Good communication, time management and administrative skills will be key. Due to our recent contract awards, Beechwood Trees and Landscapes Ltd are recruiting for TREE SURGEONS Based from our Coventry depot and working across mainly the Midlands, we have the following positions available: 3 x Team leader Arborists 6 x Climbers / Aerial Rescue 3 x Chainsaw Operators / Ground staff Full PPE, uniform and climbing kit Provided Training plan and continued development Additional Holiday allowance Bonus scheme Normal hours 7am-4pm, Mon-Fri As much overtime as you want All positions with immediate start. Salaries dependant on roles and experience - Range £22,000 - £37,665 We are also looking for self employed climbers and sub-contract teams in these areas.
