I meant that if you were subbing for different firms, going through base rescue systems and explaining how the components work for groundies who may not be familiar would be a good idea.

Not a chance.  When I get to site its all systems go.  I wouldn't be comfortable with a groundies ability to safely use a rescue system based on a quite walk through.  Needs to be a practised element

I managed to find time today to put it together. See if you can guess who made the case..... Hahaha. I have put 33ft of throwline into it, but its got a hell of a kick when it retracts so I think I could probably run an extra couple of feet into it.

The dmm ring was the only thing to hand whilst I was making it, I'll be replacing it with a snap gate crab so it's midline attachable.

Been looking at new options and came across this thread.  I take it this never went to market in any form?

I looked at the Stein outreach but a quick google search put me off :D

  3. I still use metal wedges although they are mushroomed quite badly and need replaced.  They can be picked up at ironmongers/tool shops.  Can't remember the last time I saw one in an arb shop though.  Steel all the way.  Only plastic wedge I own is on my harness for big removals

  4. Anyone here done it themselves?  Theres some cheap kits on ebay and plenty of videos on youtube that make it look pretty straight forward, but is it?

The last thing I want to do is try and save myself cash by getting a £20 screen but then subsequently killing my phone in the process.

Also I assume these ebay screens aren't genuine.  Is the quality ok on them?

Slightly annoyed to read this, as I've only just ordered myself one from Honeys this afternoon.

Will post my own experience in a week or so, once I've tried it out.

As an aside, I'm a 34" waist and wasn't sure which size to order, so went with M-L to accomodate saw trousers, jumpers etc. Anyone reckon I would be better off with a S-M, in which case I'll email Honey Bros and ask them to change it before it gets sent out?

Don't be too put off by the review.  I'd be surprised if you don't like it.  Will follow this thread so please update us

  6. horses for courses I guess.  I have this the simarghu and previously owned the treemotion.  I prefer the simarghu, not by much but I still think it offers improvements over the tree motion

I've not had a problem with the velcro on mine. I got mine when they first came out so its had a bit more use than yours I expect
