hi mate, sorry to be out of touch for a while. Rydal Hall went cold on the 5m high carving idea but are keen on a 1-1.5m one. They have a yurt or camping pod available at the end of August for a week to stay in and another yurt where you can display a sample of your carvings for sale. Rent for both yurts is just an item of your work for the site. This could be in the butt of the tree or a free standing carving. they might take a free standing one in exchange for the yurts and pay a contribution to you for the carving up the butt say £100 a day for two days??? the other days of te week have as either a holiday or work out by the gallery yurt doing displays to draw in the punters?
does any of that appeal?
