  1. Well this does seem odd, as a local TP officer has visited the tree identified the Ganoderma and believes the tree to be ok. The tree had no preservation order on his arrival but he has issued me with a PTPO now. I could understand this if the tree showed no signs of decay, but as the pictures show it clearly does have something. I'm a tad concerned here that if something were to happen that I am liable and the council have done nothing to help. Not to mention being rather annoyed with how this has been handled.
  2. How many is a few, roughly? Won't hold you to it!
  3. Difficult for me to tell not being an expert, but the crown in clearly taller than a two story building. The tree, other then some poor maintenance by previous owners over the years, looks in good health. I was planning on having a simple crown lift to remove the dead wood etc but concerned by this find. Have attached a picture for indication of size.
  4. Know of anyone I can PM on here that would have the required knowledge?
  5. Does it pose any issues to the tree? And if so can it be treated do you know?
  6. Have noticed this to the base of an oak tree at the end of our garden, I would appreciate guidance on what it is etc.. Many thanks
