Had athink about it whilst out walking the dog.
Try 'Corwen Forestry' - a bit closer than 'Proclimber' in Carmarthenshire I think Ian (Link Below)

Thats gotta hurt MB - was it your leg?

I went for mundane white.
I might go for a different colour when changing
-
Force of habit Steve - I have always done it.
-As you say, you can spot it by the shiny surface
-
Black marker pen for me

Congratulations John !
- Another string to your bow

if you have issues with the moderation then pm me....its nothing to do with power, most of the time its to do with keeping the peace. you only have to look at some threads to see how things can quickly escalate into chaos, sometimes its necessary to delete an offending post pre-emptively, and after a while you get to spot these things pretty early.

Sorry to hear about that Nod. Man that pisses me off. Can someone perhaps post some example pics so we know what to look out for.
Ditto Nod - I'll keep my ear to the ground too

Happy Birthday Steve - How many years young ?

am having some stickers done for the side of my chipper
Tea milk and 2 sugars biscuits optional
think it may help
Not with some customers !
But like the idea - you could then just point
(they'd probably say "Yes, nice chipper"

no still polishing 1 lad took one out to cut the log pile but thats a young lad for you who in there right mind would go and cut logs when there is tea to drink
Bob - you and I should form the ' Arbtalk Tea Appreciation Society'
- I love my tea too!!!

debate is good IMO when conducted properly, how else can we learn from one another. And ive got more learning to do than most
Debate is good Jim!
In my opinion to get through you test you dont need a wirecore flipline - but you will need one in the future. (Your assessor may ask about their use though)
Its as with all things - 'you pays your money, you takes your choice'
-
-
Classic examples of a delicate pruning operation I see Jim
-
I dont think you need to spend any more money on kit now.
Read your assessment criteria before you attend the course. (It will help you immensly when you come to take your test) - it will also save you and the assessor time if you do
-
Nice job Matty
-
No, more like 15 or 20 cm. Quickdraw type is ok, but I use an open sling and girth hitch it to a biner.
Spot on Peter.
-
Good luck John - read that assessment criteria
-
webbing slings are useful. I'd buy one sling and one cambium saver. (good bit of kit that you’ll find useful when you’ve passed)
Jim -this is good advice.
Webbing slings are cheap and last an age (and come in very handy)
Try to get a couple of 120cm ones and a really short one for your casualty rescue (it'll hold them closer to you and give you loads more control)

Good work Matt
