  1. Its all about cost, a towable machine is cheaper but in terms of performance theres no competition. You wouldn't take a tractor round london all day cos theres no room, but you'd soon see the benifiet if someone asked you to clear fell 20 big trees!
  2. Depends on the work your doing a big pto chipper will make the big jobs seem a lot easyer and go a lot quicker. We run both a trailed machine and a tractor one and I would always take the tractor if there is room to set it up. And if you've got a good tractor with a 40-50kph box they wount be fare behind any lorry or truck. Though you are talking a lot more money to have one worth having but you'll be able to take on the big jobs with less men!

  4. I have a large redwood to take down soon there is approx 40 ft of clearwood on the bottom and it is 5ft across at shoulder hieght. I am looking to find a market for it and would appreciat any advice/offers.
