  1. We’ve got TW 150 DHBs. If you take the spare wheel off the funnel you’re sub 750kg! Our machines are plated with/without spare weight. No need at all to remove chute, fuel and oil.
  2. It would definately be worth checking if theres a TPO on the sycamore. If there is, I'd have thought your customer could object on the grounds that for the light to work would require infringement of the TPO. I wonder if the council would then rewrite the rules to suit themselves, but at least they would be subject to scrutiny.
  3. I doubt they'd give a toss. Me in pleeze Steve thanks.
  4. Tree Officer may go for safety and covering council's back then. Worked on a similar situation last year, but on a Beech on a garden boundry with a lean towards neighbour's property. The neighbour called the council and quoted the Misc. Provisions Act at them as the council's under legal obligation to act to remove danger and I think are then liable if they fail to and anything happens. On that one the Tree Officer scared the tree owner into having it felled by telling him his bill would be twice as much if it was arranged by the council. Real pity, the Beech was in great shape.
  5. So no more "Premier"? I thought Wilkies had been solid behind Schliesing for 20 odd years?
  6. Does the lean present a risk in your view Steve?
  7. I only know the Schliesing Premier - that’s Wilkie Recycling’s machine. Is the Schliesing Prochip another range of machines that they sell? Why would they be separated?
  8. What an odd poll! Why Timberwolf vs Schliesing (aren't they branded Premier in the UK?)?? What about Greenmech and Vermeer? If you want German, what about Jensen, Tunnissen, JBM, Kwik Chip? Why leave any of them out? They all sell in far bigger numbers than the Premier, so surely opinion will be wider and more valid.
