  1. Hello all, My name is Robert Cole, I'm an ex-tree surgeon and now a PhD researcher at the Countryside and Community Research Institute, University of Gloucestershire. I'm currently exploring woodland creation in the UK to better understand what is driving who to plant forests. I'm currently looking to talk to those that have planted woodland to hear about the decision making that went on before the work started. It would be great to hear about things such as what factors were important in this process, any trade offs that were made, and whether any other plans were being considered for the site. I'm equally interested to talk to anyone who might have been looking into planting but decided against it to get a sense of what stood in the way of your plans. If you, or anyone you know, would be open to talk I would really appreciate it. I would be more than happy to email over more details about the research or introduce myself over the phone. I've put my university email here and am happy to share my mobile through a private message. All the best, Rob. [email protected]
