  1. Personally I dont get the two handed operation safety logic? When I use a big cut off saw I operate that with one hand on the trigger, I’ve managed to work out that if I put my free hand in the sharp spinny bit my hand will most likely become detached from my wrist. When I use a lathe/miller, whatever, again it’s not really rocket science to know it’s not a good idea to put your pinkies in the danger areas! The two handed operation inevitably leads to one person loading/unloading the beam and another operating the dual levers-100 times more dangerous than single handed operation. The world has gone nuts with this safety overkill! Makes me sad to have to live in this era🥹 Anyways, that’s my Friday whinge over with now, off to split some wood……with my single handed modification🤣👍
  2. She’s a beauty🤣 Functionality over looks and all that👍 Whoever came up with this barmy idea of two handed control needs a right talking too! All it does is make it more dangerous, as now it’s tempting to get a 2nd person to load/unload whilst another does the controls! Absolute takes the pee! anyway, I came up with this for mine-exactly the same principle as yours….but shinier🤣
  3. Thanks to all who’ve commented so far. I’m pretty sure these valves would have come with the levers to wherever the splitters were built as the bracket is still bolted to the front of the valve. I did contact Rock if they were able to supply the lever but was informed they couldn’t??? I’ve found a few handles on-line but don’t really want to pull the pin until I’m confident it will fit. If there were some part numbers on the valve it would help to establish who manufactured them, then I could go to them direct and ask-I havnt looked properly yet for part numbers. Anyway, I’m sure we’ll get this sorted soon….even if I have to make a lever myself.👍
  4. Good morning all. new member here looking for some help. I have as the title states-a Rock Venom 15t petrol splitter. Does anyone know where I can source the hydraulic control valve lever to convert this back to a single lever operation instead of the awful 2 handed set up? It’s just the lever I need to source as the bracket for it is on the end of the valve. Don’t really want to buy a complete valve with handle to replace the one on it now. Any pointers would be hugely appreciated. PS-I have already done a relatively crude mod to convert it to single handed operation but would much rather remove the silly two handed linkage and throw that in the skip and have the lever. Thanks in advance. Chris
