  1. As promised, I came back with some impressions. I gave it to my father and I quote: "man, it's jewelry"! The saw is amazing, the engine is powerful and sounds great, it cuts like "a laser chainsaw". He was very pleased with it and he said it is his best piece. Once again, thanks for the help!
  2. Well, I've read online about the clones, even on echo's website. I've seen the ones with the different branding, but I was living under the impression that there are clones that even copied the branding and labeling. I've checked the S/N, it is where it is supposed to be and it starts with C879. Tomorrow I'll also look at the clutch and compare to some found online. Thanks a lot guys.
  3. Thanks guys, there seems that there is registration methods for Greece / Romania, I will however mail them to check. Thanks for the tips and feedbak. Edit: Will definitely come back with a review of the chainsaw.
  4. Hello guys! I've been looking on the internet for a chainsaw to purchase as a gift for my father so I came across Echo. I've already bought him an Echo CS-3510ES from a national store that sells Echo products. It runs ok, no problem there, although the plastic felt pretty cheap and low quality. Beside that one, I also wanted a CS-2511TES / CS-2511TESC, however the store I mentioned earlier didn't have it in stock. I've waited for a while (like 1-2 months) and decided to order it from another country. I found a very big online shopping platform in Greece which allows other stores to sell their product so I picked the most reputable store with very good reviews on this platform (they say 200+ orders per week are placed from this store, more than 5 years part of the website, all 5 star reviews). So I placed the order and I get the product in ~4 days (Greece -> Romania). The product matched the description (they said the product will have a blade from SugiHara 1/4). Now, I've looked at the chainsaw, analyzed it a bit and found a few things: 1. There were some drops of liquid in the chain oil tank and the box had a few stains of oil. Now, I think that because the store is a dedicated garden tools they may have tested it, maybe even did some adjustments to the carburetor (maybe). There is also a small brown stain on the exhaust which also makes me think it was turned on. I don't think this is a problem. 2. The thing that concerns me is that very cheep feeling plastic again. More specifically, the handle, which is made out of 2 parts, doesn't seem to be fitted accordingly, the connection between the parts is not flush, it really scratches my hand (i've attached photos). (I was also thinking to check the S/N with the manufacturer to double check this is a genuine product and it matches their records) Now the question, does it look like a genuine product?
