Hi All, Greetings and thanks in advance for your time today. Is there anyone around the South Somerset region who can help me source bulk timber for processing? I run a small, homebased firewood supply business and have had a huge amount of interest this year, which is great except I am now getting seriously short on stock and my usual supply lines have dried up. Ideally I’d be looking for cords, or even damned whole trunks. I’m not fussed about if it’s pretty or not, although I don’t want scrub. If there is anyone who can help send me a reply and I’ll DM you with my details. I’m happy to negotiate terms if the right opportunity exists. Many thanks, Mike

Greetings everyone! A sapling, green-shoot, Arbtalk Newbie here. Wanted to jump on and introduce myself, Hi 👋 I’m Mike and I run a small, firewood business called Verrington Firewood, supplying processed logs to in South Somerset, Dorset and the surrounding area. I’m looking to build up the business this year and take on more customers. Which means I’ll be needing more wood. I’m looking for any help, advice or suggestions. We are lucky to have a large Dutch barn on site with plenty of space and good access. It’s just me and my incredible partner, Sarah, usually with the unwanted help from Pip & Max, our Cockapoo and Old English Sheepdog. I’ve set up a profile with a Tip Site and would like to invite any of you guys who are working in the South Somerset/Dorset areas to consider us when you’re looking for a place to offload any hardwood/softwood cords.
