Blackdown Environmental are a family feel multi-discipline environmental company which is undergoing steady growth.

We have a requirement for new Team Leaders to join this dynamic company, in a hands-on practical role undertaking commercial countryside management, ecological mitigation, wildlife fencing and riparian based works using a range of modern machinery.

Who are we looking for...The people who work at Blackdown really gel together so being a team player is a must along with good common sense, practical skills and the willingness to multi task, learn new skills and work hard (a good sense of humour won’t go a miss either). In addition, as a Team Leader you will be able to demonstrate experience of:

• Liaison with managers and clients

• Meeting given targets

• Effective team management and motivation

• Management of on-site activities

• Good knowledge of Health and Safety and quality controls

• Completion of paperwork

What you need...To be 18 and over, hold a clean driving licence and be able to undergo random D&A (drugs and alcohol) testing as standard. You will be a highly motivated individual with enthusiasm and passion for the industry; you will manage a team to deliver high standards of work in a safe and productive environment.

Candidates should ideally hold some or all of the following:

• Relevant CS units to 39 and PA1 & 6A

• Additional tickets Inc. large tree and multiple windblown, CPCS and FMOC an advantage

• LISS/CSCS Card

• Have good communication and people skills

• Experience in meeting targets

• Have a full driving license Inc. towing endorsements

What would be better...... If you have any NPTC, CPCS/NPORS or Lantra skills qualifications cards.

The icing on the cake......Would be if you had a selection of the above along with additional practical experience and a knowledge of agricultural and construction plant and machinery.
