Hi guys,

I have just started at a new company that provide climbing inspections but some of their guys don't have CS tickets just the level 1 rope access technician qualification.

What i would like to know is can we work together with our qualifications and we will be covered by the insurance to rescue each other?

I've trawled the internet and couldn't find anything that was crystal.

Look forward to anyones feedback!

Cheers

Adam

I would say no is the official answer

Certainly the cs one can not work or rescue on anything other than trees so would of not thought irata officially allowed to work on trees and methods for installing system irate world is so different and from memory a level 1 irate does not do rescue anyhow.

Although the main requirement is that they are competent to carry out rescue rather than qualified

How you justify that is up to you but level 1 is not a reque qual unless it's changed since I did mine.

Hope that helped and made some sort of sense.
