I have ms241 c-m, less than 6 month old and had very little use. It worked fine yesterday, then today the chain started running when idling for some reason, switched it off now it just wont start.

Any ideas?

Hoping to save a journey to the local dealer

cheers

Thanks for that, you were right it was the clutch. The circlip that holds the sprocket on was slightly of (must not have put it fully when had the sprocket of), so it was pushing down on to the washer then on to the sprocket causing the problem, sorted the circlip and it fired up first pull with no chain running at tick over..

saved a trip to a dealer for something so silly!!!

cheers
