Tidying up stubs from storm damaged trees.

I try to where I can - that and keeping trees as standing stems, wherever possible (complete with stubs). I'm experimenting with the idea of planting daffodils around standing stems of dead trees and high stumps, in an attempt to make them more amenable along streets verges.

That's cool. We don't have many verges here in Bristol with trees on. Mainly trees paved to the trunks with tarmac. The only stumps around are about 1m high and it's because the LA won't usually pay for the grinding or replanting it seems. Stumps are still in the ground that I took down from 10 years ago when I used to do council work. I do like the daffodil idea though if it's more accepted by the public.
