This is a first for me, having not seen Ganoderma resinaceum on Salix before.

The dark underside threw me for a while but realised that this must be the remains of a non functioning bracket that is slowly desicating.

Maybe even last years.

Same with the very dark tube layer.

Do I win a prize for being observant, or do I get banned for being pedantic?:001_smile:

You certainly are observant Giles, I obviously hadn't conected the two occurances.

Guess your grey matter may be a little less cluttered and befuzzled than mine.

Wel done you, no prize I'm afraid. :001_smile:

So...........that's twice I've come across resinaceum on Salix ( Crack ftr )
