Bat surveying

So after speaking to some batty type folks this morning I'm even more confused than before. The basic guide for bats course for arborists helps you do tree work with bats in mind.

The aboriculture and bats how to use an endoscope course lets you do exactly that.

It states It doesn't provide adequate training for a bat licence?!?

Do I need a bat licence ?

Do any of these quals allow me to survey trees for bats ??
