Prochloraz treats decay fungi

I'm told that the chemical Prochloraz is listed in the UK for treating fungi like HF. Has anyone here tried it?

Not tried it nor heard of others using it over here in the UK and I'm unlikely to as a number of years ago I used Armillotox without regarding which actual species of Armillaria I was trying to deal with and also not considering what other beneficial soil species were being targeted and destroyed.

 

Lesson learned.

 

Having had a brief scan of the data sheet for Prochloraz the bit that stood out concerning 'General human health issue' was that it's a 'Possible liver toxicant' !?!

 

I'll be sticking with trying to promote an organic health in the soil horizon to help promote good tree vitality.

 

Have you used it Guy, is is what you referred to on your recent Meripilus thread?

Glynn mentioned it in his SIR talk--Systemic Induced Resistance. Toxicity relative to Armillatox; I do not know. Effectiveness--seems to be there, for some cases.
