My van 2.2 peugeot boxer lwb van is having a starter motor fitted. While in the garage i had the use of father in laws 1986 defender 110 pick up. I used it for hedge cutting and was very pleased with the ease of loading ladders, tools & cuttings. Only taking what i need for the booked work that day ment all tools where easly acesble and it went back all clean. It takes an age to clean my van in & out. Being a land rover it was great fun to drive to and easy to revers & manorver on driveways. Never used a pick up for work before & allways had vans. I am looking at new replacing my van soon. I am now considering tipper next i take away alot of cuttings. The clear dissadvantages of a tipper are tool exposure & sign writing. All though my van is heavily scrathced due to county lane driving which would not ocour on a tipper. I would like to here from some body who has had both van & tipper also i do 5% off road miles a year so 4x4 with small space and jap ones have just 2 cab seats much higher mpg i only desire transit shape tipper.
