Why does my chainsaw keep cutting out?

Ok guys hoping you can help. I've purchased a husquarna 135 xtorq. It starts up when when I follow the instructions and when the throttle is on its fine however as soon as the throttle is released it cuts out. Why is this? What am i not doing?

If the saw is new, take it back and get them to sort it. Probably carb adjustment and/or idle rate.

 

If not then carb (low) adjustment, or just turning up the idle speed. Or could be a whole bunch of things depending on how 'used' the saw is. Could be fuel hose or filthy carb etc...

Thanks for the reply, yeah the saw is only 3 weeks old,

Sounds like it has bedded in a little and the idle needs adjustment - either do it yourself if able....circa 1/4 turn clockwise on the LA screw....or just pop it in to your dealer.

 

DO NOT mess with the other two H&L screws!
