Hi all this is not quite a tree. This stuff is growing like mad on a site I maintain. I was told its rebus but could not find any info on that. It also has raspberry type fruit on it at the end of summer if that helps, also wondered if the fruit is edible. Thanks.

It some kind of Rubus possibly Rubus nepalensis also known as groundcover raspberries. The berries are edible but are not always worth eating as they don't always have much flavour.
