Can't speak for the whole unit but I have the power head/unit in a Husky pole pruner and then add the hedge cutter attachment. Easy to start unit hot or cold, runs very smooth once warmed up and has sufficient power for both applications. I would not be without it.

Spot on. They seem to less popular due to there being more Stihl dealers im guessing. Not too heavy at the end of a day's work?

The power unit in my case is on the end of the Husky 327PT5S telescopic pole pruner which is well balanced as a pole pruner but when extended and used with the hedge cutter bar it does get heavy - not so much the weight of the power unit just the hedge cutter unit (which it was not intended for it!!) puts it out of balance on full reach. With the pole pruner no issues as it remains in balance. The proper Husky combi unit you are looking at might offer better balance but I doubt it will reach as far with the hedge cutter attachment, hence me buying the pole pruner and adding the hedge cutter for a longer reach. The power unit is common across several Husky models however and is a good unit.

One thing I forgot to mention was that it took a while to 'run in' at least 10 ltrs fuel before it loosened up a bit.
