Hi all,

I am right at the very start of my journey in arboriculture. I have been working in forestry for a while as a labourer and I never realised that I would love it so much, as my boss told me 'The sawdust gets into your veins!'. I have always loved trees in a big way and it has made me realise that this is the direction I need to be heading. I am happy to continue for a while in forestry but really I want to be a tree surgeon in the long run.

So, I'm looking for somebody to take me on as a groundie/labourer and help me gain the relevant knowledge, skills and experience to work my way upward, with the aim to be a climber one day. I am booked in to do my CS30/31 but otherwise have no qualifications yet, I do hold a full uk drivers license.

I am keen and a very hard worker.

I would like to take the opportunity here too to reach out to members and ask for any advice you could give somebody like me in my current position. It would be very much appreciated.
