They still got issues as I understand it in that 1 app/conservation doesnt really mix online but so far the fix is "in the pipeline" as far as making online apps goes........anyone else found this?

When doing a 211 on 1app, it keeps asking for the tpo no of the trees, which doesnt always apply if they arent tpo'd, doesnt seem to accept the n/a, or whatever else in put in the box. AS I said earlier, it could be my cack-handed approach to 1APP tho.

Just submitted my first TOP ap using the portal.ticked the box to say would send sketch through post but made a note in further comments that it was the only tree in garden.LPA rang and said don't bother with sketch if it's that obvious. Been having some fun sending 211's in letter type, keep getting emails saying "we can no longer accept in this format must be on a APP". I don't bother replying,no one goes out to look at trees and we can just get on and do the work 6 weeks after they send the email.

No its not you man....!

Listening/talking with J.Danahay (Planning Portal ) it becomes clear that the portal is designed by "it boffs"; so not arborists then. This is what was meant by "in the pipeline".

Whilst it seems the government needs to consult with its user base, it is very frustrating that those designing the portal never use it ( mostly...) and certainly have little or no grasp/interest in the vagaries of legislation that is applicable.....Dont worry about it?

Its a bit disappointing IMO. I think it could be very easily updated to eliminate the issue, which is a common complaint I believe. They got bigger fish to fry down there in gov.uk land for the time being.....!

Thanks for that, I was thinking I was going mad. I used to be a technophobe, until I embraced the 21st century, bit the bullet and dived right in, I try to use the electronic wizardry to minimise time and paper wastage. To date 1APP has saved me neither time or paper!!
