Here at Beechwood Tree Care Ltd we are looking to recruit 3 Foreman of varying levels of ability.

We are a medium sized Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor based on the Oxfordshire/Berkshire Border, midway between Henley on Thames, Maidenhead and Reading.

Beechwood Tree Care has been established for 15yrs and have an extensive client base.

In the main we work for domestic clients, large estates, local schools and universities, various developers and other commercial clients. We do very little LA work and no Utility work. We focus on high quality work and service to retain and gain customers.

We have lots of equipment with all our trucks and chippers relatively new and we constantly reinvest to keep it that way. We have just purchased a new 21m tracked MEWP and where possible we try to mechanise jobs to save on wear and tear on bodies and make things more efficient.

We consider a Foreman's role to be that of a lead climber running a crew of usually 2 or 3 guys, sometimes more. Managing a previously priced job from start to completion, completing the necessary paperwork. Dealing with the client and the staff during the works. Supervising and helping with the daily and weekly routine maintenance of our equipment.

Pls note All we do is tree work so the jobs are all tree related, we have a separate team for hedge cutting/topping hence there will be very little if any hedge work.

 

 

Foreman 1 will be someone who is a relatively new to being a foreman or at present is a climber and wants to move on to running a crew.

You will need to have a minimum 2 years within the industry.

You will be able to carry out most routine tree jobs such as felling, sectional dismantles, pollarding, pruning and have some experience of rigging and using MEWPs

You will need to be presentable and have an engaging personality.

You will need to be qualified to a min of 30,31,38,39, chipper, first aid, MEWP, CSCS card, driving license with trailer entitlement.

Above all you will need to be willing to learn and strive to improve yourself/ your knowledge.

We would be looking for you to study for and complete ISA cert Arborist exam.

Foreman 2 will be someone who has been in the industry for a minimum of 3 years and has a couple of years experience running a crew.

You will be able to carry out most tree jobs to high level including rigging.

You will need to have experience of using MEWPs.

You don't have to be the best climber in the world but you will required to take on relatively complex jobs from time to time.

You will need to be presentable and have an engaging personality.

You will need to be qualified to a minimum of 30,31,32,38,39,41,chipper,first aid ,MEWP,CSCS card, NSWRA, driving license with trailer entitlement.

Ideally you will have a formal qualification in Arboriculture.

Above you will need to be willing to learn and strive to improve yourself/ your knowledge.

We would be looking for you to study for and complete ISA cert Arborist exam.

 

Salary £28600-31200 per annum

Foreman 3 will be someone who is highly capable and has a wealth of experience.

You will need to have a minimum 5 years within the industry.

You will need to be able to carry out any tree job to high level, ability to carry out high standard crown reductions is a must.

You must be a very good climber who embraces and is competent in various different modern climbing techniques.

You will need to be someone who commands respect by leading by example and manages people in a fair and consistent manner.

You will need to be presentable and have an engaging personality.

As well as managing your own team you will be in overall charge of all crews in the yard and when they are combined for large jobs.

You will need to have experience using MEWPs, cranes, HiAbs.

Experience of cable bracing would be advantageous.

You will need to be experienced in carrying out climbing inspections and recording observed data.

You will need to be someone who is willing to work as part of a team to achieve the goals of the company.

You will required on occasion to find solutions to achieving complex jobs and on other occasions to implement methodology devised by others.

You will need to be qualified to a minimum of 30,31,32,38,39,41,chipper,first aid ,MEWP,CSCS card, NSWRA, driving license with trailer entitlement, PTI, a formal qualification in Arboriculture.

Above you will need to be passionate about Arboriculture and strive to improve yourself and the company.
