Bought one earlier this year, it seems to work ok. I have split some big rounds without any problem. I like the height of the table as it saves being bent down all the time. The off side is that you have to lift the rounds up to the table. I have recently split a large beech and ash tree without any problem. The rounds were too heavy to lift so cut them in half with the chainsaw.

i was a bit worried about the size of the ram as it did not look man enough but appears to be ok. The thing that needs improving is the handle to work the ram it seems a bit of a poor design. The pump failed on mine after about two hours but was replaced staright away.

This is the kind of unit I've been looking at but th slightly smaller ones that are semi table unit as I don't need to split large amounts as I don't use the wood myself other than a bbq and just help friends out with their piles as I normally just ask for about £30-40 per boot load which is usually a good amount of wood, although it's not all seasoned as I store outside and not undercover :)
