New stumpy - which one??

As you've realised that's a fairly simple repair probably only about £2500 ish or less if you fit the new bearings and engine yourself, which is pretty easily done. What happened with therein bag? Mine has eaten a few with no ill effects other than The 30mins wasted cutting it free!

 

 

The bag has melted itself onto the bearings and shaft! And is proving a bit of a nightmare to get off. Chain link fence is easier.
