have 2 eucryphia in same garden one as you can see is in full flower the other seems to be slowly dieing over the last few years there was an electric cable dug in alongside it about 4 years ago possibly damaging the roots and the ground it is very wet in winter would drainage help it recover or is it to late

Eucryphia mostly protected from the moist soil and require an ericaceous soil. The specimens of Eucryphia are best grown if fully exposed to sun and wind... There might be a severe damaged to roots and you might need the help of an arborist or tree service company who will provide you the possible guides.
