I thought they were phasing out 32 an just assessing on 31 and 33 criteria.I think 32's a bit of a waste of time,too similar to 31.At the end of the day you'll not learn how to fell big trees on a course.Am sure most guys,like me,did the assessment coz they thought they better have the ticket after doin it for ages.:001_cool:

If I remember correctly, when I looked at the new proposed structure back around Jan / Feb, the idea is that the 'safety' questions (risk assessments, etc.) would be taken out and put in a new unit.

 

CS31 would now include winching.

CS32 would include weighted trees and large fell techniques.

CS33 would disappear as it would be subsumed into CS32.

 

Anyway, that was then (at the time it was during the consultation process, and so may have changed / be changed).

 

Anybody any updates on the latest thinking..?
