I bought a Makita LXT cordless die grinder as I already had a few other LXT tools with batteries and charger. It's a great tool and obviously can be usd without a mians power supply or generator. The only problem I've had is that it has a 6mm rather than 1/4" collet in the chuck and I can't get a 1/4" to fit even from the USA.

I bought a couple of Saburr bits that are 1/4" as none of the UK suppliers have the 6mm shank ones in stock as far as I can tell even though Saburr do produce 6mm.

Tom.
