Hi all

Without wishing to duplicate old threads too much.

I have for sale three Cherry logs, each one approximately 3ft long and ranging from 16"-18", 18"-20" and 19"-20" in diameter.

Pictures below.

How much should I offer them for sale for? :confused1:

Edit - obviously a bit less for the one with the rip out!

I am willing to be sensible but its all money back into pot :thumbup1:

Cheers

James:thumbup:

They are very short, which is an issue. Realistically, they are best marketed to wood turners. I wouldn't buy such short logs myself, but another mill might pay £50 for them as they are. Carefully cut in half (lengthways) and then carefully cut in half again (crossways) would yield four good turning blanks from each log. You should get £10 for each of those, and that might be your best option for making some money from it. Alternatively, just convert it to firewood!

Thank you for your honest appraisal Big J

They are short due to the only way to exit the back garden with them was on a sack barrow and boy are they heavy.

Seemed a shame to commit them to the fire wood pile.

Will try a few local wood turners, if anyone here still wants them pm me an offer.
