Morning guys

This question has been asked many times but after some help

I'm now looking at re doing my transit tipper body. I have a crew cab with wood sides on the bed at the moment and it's completely rotted out and fallen apart, so now wanting to get it done in ally. After some help and advice with companies that build bodies. Looked at britt tipp and they want astromical price for the bed. I'm really after some one to remove the bed and build an ally chip box on the rear

Thanks lads

Heh Heh id say theres a lot of people considering it….well the floor is steel,so more than likely sub chassis is steel….would need to be cut to length… sandblasted and painted…. can't make out if rear stanchions are drop in or welded…not hard to change…..the sides are a cinch to work on… either rivets or huck bolts…. so no real hassle, … tipping gear…maybe it is ok….have to ask the guy….it would be a cheap way out to refurbish it…. if you were organized between the whole lot you could get it turned around in 2 days maybe 3 with painting ect….word of advice though on sandblasting floors though…if they go too rough it will be difficult totipthe chipout even after painting…… we live and learn:001_rolleyes:

So if he would part with the body separately you'd be off on a hack….

your time versus money saved…. if it suits your needs…. a body for a landy starts at about 3k Stg….
