Chainsaw Complacency

Recommended Posts

The thought of what can happen if things go wrong keep me honest in what I'm doing. I constantly have it in my mind about what I'm doing and how I can reduce the risks. To easy to get so involved in a carve, the form etc and not take note of the speeding chisels.

Amen to that brother! If you're "in the zone" tho, you gotta admit it's not always at the forefront of you're mind. Don't get me wrong I'm as careful as the next bloke and have seen the damage a saw can do. ALWAYS wear yer gear, keep it clear underfoot, don't over-reach or try awkward cuts if you're not in full control of the saw,or you're balance. Be aware of where you're body/limbs are in relation to the saw etc.... It all sounds like common sense but considering the implications, not worth any risk.

A good topic NFG, and a serious one, hits hard when you see pics( I'm also Phil Dunford trained)

Stay safe amigos.
