Timberwolf 190 bottom roller damage

The bottom roller on my 2006 TW190 as you look into the hopper has moved about 5mm to the left (ie towards the hydraulic motor) and started grinding itself into the slide box, I grease it every week and there isn't any play in it from what I can't tell without stripping it. Any ideas on what might be going wrong? I'm concerned its going to chew its way through the side of the intake.

My 190 is exactly the same, the initial cause was some string/washing line went through and wrapped round the right hand side of the bottom roller, took a bit of dismantling to get it out, that was maybe 3years ago and it gets cleaned out with a good strip down every so often. Just looks a bit wrong with it chewing the left side of the roller box. Timber wolf suggested greasing while the machine is warm, not sure who has time to grease while working?

Hello

The feed rollers tend to favour one side during normal operation which is why a regular greasing regime is so important.

Timberwolf have produced a retro fit spacer washer which can be purchased and fitted between the hex roller and spline drive. Once fitted this will keep the hex roller and blade edge 3mm further away from the motor end of the roller box. Part number for this is P*20 and can be purchased from any authorised Timberwolf dealership for approx £7 + VAT.

Hope this helps, if you need any further info on fitting this part give Timberwolfs technical helpline a call on 01449 765820
