We currently have an opening for a Climber/Foreman at an office I manage in Delta, British Columbia. Delta is about 20 minutes outside Vancouver City. We have had a lot of good experiences with British climbers coming through the office over the years and would like to continue the tradition.

 

Bartlett is able to help with securing work permits for UK workers, however we are looking to give priority to anyone with citizenship or an existing visa such as the working holiday route.

 

Below is the advert we are currently running locally. All climbing equipment and PPE is supplied and our wage range, production bonus and benefits package is very competitive with other local companies.

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking to fill the position of:

 

Climber/Arborist/Foreman who will be responsible for supervising and managing the tree care crew while performing all aspects of tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative or Local Manager.

 

Candidates will:

- have at least 2 years experience climbing with rope and saddle

- demonstrate proper climbing techniques and procedures

- demonstrate proper pruning skills

- perform all climbing, ground, pruning and removal duties

- have the ability to follow instructions and communicate with supervisor(s) and crew members

- possess risk assessment skills

- inspect & maintain equipment

- possess an Arboriculture Trade Certificate or Diploma

I am flying over to Vancouver on the 2nd April, I am in the process of applying for Permanent Residency but still waiting but it should be anytime now. Unfortunately circumstance mean I have to fly over but I'm not legally allowed to work until PR comes through.
