Land rover 130 or 110.

Used to work alongside a HD 110 tipper and that had a 3 cube back on it and when full was on the whole still legal and carried the weight well.

I had a 130 single cab of my own, but with the quadtech rear box on it. That would hold nearly 5 cube from memory (was a good bit wider than the 110 and a longer overhang) and was easy to over load. Also, the extra bit of wheelbase made it a barge for manoevering in tight spaces.

Other than the lack of space for tools, I think the 110 was the better base vehicle.

No chip box on my landy...

A friend recently spent £5000 on a stainless tipping custom built box... Impressive !!!!it was also oversized on a 130 ,so I imagine oversized is ok...

Just wind to watch out for...though landys are just boxes ...

My 110 is rated at 3500 ... No idea why, also has 365 76 R16 tyres !!! Not sure if it was all upgraded as a V8 conversion ?

Geared for towing pulls like a train .
