appendix recovery time?

I had myn out last year! They burst during the operation because of this I spent a week in hospital with a tube in my nose into my stomach taking crap out of my stomach, was probaly one of the worst experiences of my life! In all it took over a month before I went back to work and another month before I felt right, I don't think your meant to lift anything heavy for 6 to 8 weeks.

My advice is not to rush back into climbing, it might look like its healing on the outside but it takes a lot longer for it to heal internally.

It's hard to be off work for so long but it will go quicker than you think

Had mine done many years ago, took 2 1/2 months before I could go back to work.

Drove me nuts, struggled to get out of bed for the loo, get up and down stairs, even turning over in bed was uncomfortable, this lasted for about 4 weeks, then things improved, but was walking with a stick for another month

Take it easy and don't push it, you'll put yourself back more than improving the situation

Get well soon mate, :thumbup1:
