I've been using a chainsaw for a couple of years albeit unprofessionally, just logging for a stove and a little small felling, I would like to upgrade my chainsaw ( asked for info in the chainsaw section ) but feel before upgrading it would prudent to get some basic competence training, can anyone recommend somewhere that does this kind of training and cost please, I live in Glazebury WA3 area, thanks.

Try your local agri college, they often do a non-certificate casual user course which cost around about the £100 - £150 mark, other wise an nptc cs30/31 small tree's and cross cutting course and test will set you back circa £800.
